Automatically add closing tags on the forums
If someone makes a post which is missing tags at the end, and you quote it, it treats the contents of your post as being inside their tags. This is particularly annoying for [scratchblocks] tags since they mess up your post and make you edit it unnecessarily, and [quote] tags since they make it look like people said things that they didn't.
I suggest that the forums should automatically close tags if they are left open at the end of a post when you click submit.
As another suggestion, jvvg has suggested that it should tell you if tags are left open, but not add them automatically.

If you quote someone who hasn't closed a BBCode tag they were using, it can really mess up your own formatting.
I propose that all BBCode tags are auto-closed upon submission of a post. That way people who attempt to quote them won't end up with unintended formatting.

I suggested this a while ago but it didn't seem to get much support. Anyway, I support this as well as for other tags, since they could mess up the formatting of you post or quotes.

Thinking about it, it's almost completely useless bumping posts, becaus it's always the same people who are active in the forums, and they're the same people who've seen the post before. Ah, well.
