love and favorite detectors and such
Currently, you can use the “mouse x” and “mouse y” blocks detect your mouse outside of the stage. Or you can make a sprite go out of the stage for a second or however those detectors work, I don't really know or care.
You can use this for some really stupid things, like:
And the benefits are:
So, why not make it so you can't make love and favorite detectors and stuff like that? I'm pretty sure you aren't even supposed to be able to do this, any way.
edit:
You can use this for some really stupid things, like:
- crashing Scratch when you hover over the report button so you can't report it
- making it so you have to love and favorite (or at least make it think that you loved and favorited) the project to win
- blocking remixes
And the benefits are:
- thanking you for tricking the project into thinking you loved and favorited

edit:
Ok calm down everyone… I have a solution to balance this feature, maybe…
What would not be affected:((mouse x)[and](mouse y)::#FFFFFF)These blocks already cannot detect mouse positions outside the player, and it's already not the most accurate way to do a love/fav detector. Many projects use these as a way to detect the mouse position so Getting Over It would not break!
go to [mouse-pointer v]
point towards [mouse-pointer v]
What would be affected:<touching [mouse-pointer v] ?>Because these blocks do have the potential do detect mouse action outside of the player. Maybe either pause it during that time or just make it report false if the mouse is outside the player?

it doesn't
when green flag clicked // if you hover over the report button then the variables will be
forever
set [x v] to (mouse x)
set [y v] to (mouse y)
end
(x) // 240
(y) // -180

You can make sprites go to the X and Y of the report button, and the sensors can detect if those sprites touch the mouse pointer, then executing the code. it doesn'twhen green flag clicked // if you hover over the report button then the variables will be

No support. griffpatch's "Getting over it" would be totally ruined. Love and fav detectors would be literally broken. And it's not a good situation if someone can crash your computer for hovering over the report button, but you can leave a comment, or remove the sprite, etc.

the OP was talking about mouse X and Y blocks but whatever, no support for that because it's useful for pretty much anything that uses scrolling and you can just report the bad stuff or use contact usYou can make sprites go to the X and Y of the report button, and the sensors can detect if those sprites touch the mouse pointer, then executing the code. it doesn'twhen green flag clicked // if you hover over the report button then the variables will be

well since now we know that mouse x an y blocks don't detect it so it's just talking about x and y positions blocks not being able to detect it which breaks everything scrolling related"Getting over it would be totally ruined. griffpatch's game, a remake of “Getting Over It” in Scratch, often requires your mouse to be outside of the canvas. And I meant user-created love/fav detectors. I know, users are allowed to have them, but I don`t really hate to see them go since they are rejected.griffpatch's game, a remake of “Getting Over It” in Scratch, often requires your mouse to be outside of the canvas. Well, you can just stop the project (or, in hard cases, reload) and then report.
- crashing Scratch when you hover over the report button so you can't report it
That happens with any item on the list.

What's wrong with them? What do you mean by “rejected”? Is it in TOLORS (I'm a bit rusty on it lol)

Social Action Reporter Blocks
This block can be used to see how many loves, favorites, ect. the user has.

Still, that's a bit different from a love/fav detector that detects outside the stage..
