Stop the automatic banner from banning people from mass-reporting alerts

I think what they all want is to stop the system from automatically banning people whenever they are mass reported. The automatic unshare I support because the ST will need to be able to check the project before they can let them share it again.

This suggestion's been around for quite a while, and at the time it was made, the Scratch Team didn't need it. Now, they do. However, if it follows the Community Guidelines, it is shared with the public again, so if you follow the Community Guidelines, it should be fine.

Apparently you can get banned if your projects are mass-reported, which is not necessarily a bad thing as I could advertise inappropriate content everywhere when all the mods are asleep and won't be banned until they wake up.

I think its important for some projects to be auto-blocked with too many reports because Scratch is supposed to be as safe as possible. If projects are blocked when reported multiple times, there is a good chance that the project might violate the community guidelines.

The automatic project removal and temporary account block system that is currently in place is extremely useful to ensure that the community stays safe. Without this system, users who make inappropriate projects would be able to keep making them, possibly without immediate consequence if a moderator is not online at the time. That would just expose more people to the inappropriate content.

We are open to suggestions for how to improve the system — feel free to make a new topic if you have any ideas. But we are not going to get rid of the automatic project removal system, nor do we plan to remove the temporary account block system.
