More location options

Scratch has a lot of location options, but you should be able to put “Mushroom kingdom” or other things as a joke

No support; If you want to include fictional locations, then you have to add every fictional location, like Hyrule, and Dream Land, and there would be too many fictional locations to implement. Also, I just don't see a good reason to implement this.

The main problem is copyright. For example, if I set my location to “Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry”, MIT would need permission from Warner Bros. Want to set it to “Tatooine”, you would need permission from Disney.

To be honest, this really wouldn’t be worth it. I believe MIT would have to pay to have them on the site and who wants to pay for a small cosmetic feature?

Hey so if you would read a wikipedia article you would know that Scratch is licensed under this really cool communist copyright law that lets you use copyrighted assets for free if credit is given.

Plus scratch is an organization, it is nonprofit so i don't think Warner Bros would care if someone said they live in Gotham City on a nonprofit kids website, that's the equivalent of making websites like twitter or github make sure that all locations that users type in (because the locations arn't preset) not be copyrghted assets. It's called a reference jesus christ

Yes, I am definitely a scientist from Antarctica and I don’t care. (Also, I personally set it to Antarctica for fun, and more options like that would be interesting)

I think being able to set a custom location would be cool- especially for people wanting “Location Not Given” or such.
I know this is possible, as other sites allow you to do this.
