Make the giant delete sprite button smaller (though preferably remove it altogether)
Mass reporting and re-share bug isn't actually a bug. Mass reporting isn't even a problem. I haven't found the restore button to be faulty, when I'm using it it restores the sprite or backdrop and the code with it and it hasn't failed me yet.
Also with your example if you delete a sprite it take 2 clicks to get it back, that's like 2 seconds, which I feel like isn't big enough of a problem to offer a better solution. I guess it would be a big problem if the restore button was faulty but it's not. (At least for me) Also the ST has plenty of other things to do that have a much bigger effect then 2 seconds shaved off a project, like fix mass reporting and the reshare bug.
This could help people who don't even know about the restore button.

First of all yeah they are problems. The whole point of scratch is to create and explore not to oppress and that's exactly what's happening. Also if people don't know about the Restore button then I don't really know what to say. It's not hidden within layers of complicated stuff it's on the edit button which is something most people should know. I don't support because a solution exists therefore making the suggestion redundant, nothing changes that fact.

No they aren't. Mass reporting is useful for projects which are actually bad. You don't see those projects because the ST has taken care of that. Wdym you don't know what to say? Half of scratch never knew it/ knows it because they haven't been introduced to it or have never seen it before.
How is this oppressing scratch? xD
Its just a normal suggestion which won't do any harm, but more good.

Mass reporting is a problem. It's ability to be abused makes it not ideal for a mod system, while I agree that it can work it can also be abused which I feel like based on other decisions by the ST should be fixed. (Ex why non ST moderated chat sites are blocked for there potential to be abused rather then the majority abusing them)
Plus I don't feel like new scratchers would have the problem that fdreef described, and experienced scratchers should know about the restore button,
I guess I agree that it would do more harm than good but there are many more things that would do much more good than this.

That's alright; you believe that mass reporting is an issue, so it would be impossible to use reason to win this argument. I guess I agree that it would do more harm than good but there are many more things that would do much more good than this.

Not really. If the restore button didn't exist then I'd support this. (Actually Imma half support cause I guess people don't know about the restore button, and I agree that the button is to big, but getting rid of it seems overboard.)
But it does.So I'm half supporting for now.

It's not common for someone to know about the restore button before they delete something important because of the gigantic button. I learned about it this year, after 4 and a half years of being on this site. Not really. If the restore button didn't exist then I'd support this. It wouldn't cause any harm to make the button smaller.

I learned about it almost immediately, granted I wasn't making projects I was poking around the editor so maybe I found it earlier than most.
I agree that It should be smaller but the reason I half support is the topic asks for a big change, I personally just want it a little smaller.

That's what the suggestion is trying to do. It's to make the button smaller. (or not exist) I personally just want it a little smaller.

Remove the giant delete sprite button (or at least make it way smaller).
I just want it a little smaller, not gone or way smaller. Just fit it in the corner of the sprite box and it's fine, not hanging out over the edge.

Total support, I've used Scratch for forever and only recently learned about the “undo” button. Call me a noob all you want, but that only proves the suggestion's point- making the button smaller/removing it will lead to less accidents, therefore less time wasted. Also, what about a “confirm delete” pop-up when you press the trashcan button? That could also work as an alternative to this.

Make the giant delete sprite button smaller (though preferably remove it altogether)
A few days ago there was a post on help with scripts saying that they accidentally deleted a sprite and didn't know that the restore button even existed. With this suggestion implemented that wouldn't have happened.

Full support. In the past I've had issues with the restore button not working, and having a delete button doesn't make sense when there are not only keyboard shortcuts to delete (del, backspace) but also an option in the right-click/long-press menu. I believe the best option would be to remove the delete button though, as even making it smaller could still leave the possibility of fat-fingering it. On the topic of the undo button, it took about 2 years in the editor for me to learn about it.

This is the sort of suggestion that I would highly appreciate it if it was implemented. I accidentally hit that button so incredibly often that it's not even funny. While I do use the restore button thing to get the sprite back when it actually works, and even if it does, it completely messes up ALL of the layering, and it's just a pain to work with when you're trying to fix the resulting layering issues.
The implementation of this suggestion would be helpful to me, and everyone else who has to work with a dozen sprites in a single project. Deleting them on accident is so easy.

It could be removed if we bring back the scissors… not remove it just make it smaller, because of mobile

Use Edit -> Restore Sprite
That doesn't always work, and as I said in my post, it completely messes up the layering in the project you're using it in

I'm personally fine with it, but I see your reasoning. It's a fairly good idea if optional; it really doesn't make much sense to have a button of that size.
On mobile, it's sometimes hard to right click. You could accidentally get into another sprite, not to mention that it only works if you stop holding the sprite with your finger, but when you stop, sometimes it just chooses a random option from the drop-down when you right click (or hold with your finger) the sprite.
I'd say we should be able to choose to:
1. Remove the option entirely (as a setting)
2. Resize to a desired size (also as a setting)
