Getting Scratch Link on chromebook for microbits?

Has anyone found a solution to using the microbit extension on a chromebook? I can't download Scratch Link on Chrome OS.

You can only download Scratch (Any version, I believe) on Windows or Mac. I also use a Chromebook and ran into the same problem.

I have been using S2Bot (Chrome app) and using Scratchx.org to use Lego WeDo 2.0 with Scratch on Chromebooks. It is a bit of a chore to connect at times but once you get the order down it works pretty flawlessly.

I just looked to see and micro:bit is on the list of the S2Bot app. Hope this helps as a workaround.

Seriously? I waited 5 months for Lego BOOST to be available on Scratch, and now I can't use it because I'm on a Chromebook? Really ST? It's not that hard to make a chrome app or extension! Even I've done it before! The Scratch Team should really start working on Scratch for Chromebooks. Just copy and paste the HTML! Not hard!

Calm down, a Chromebook isn't the best software for doing coding anyways. It bums me too but luckily I have a Mac downstairs, but my sister is always hogging it so that doesn't always work out.

K first of all thats not how html works
Windows has a specific dev for everything that makkes it loook like windows
Chrome OS is a lot different u need to change all the devs and still check for code that might not work on a chromebook after all. This is stuff that would take more than 4 gb ram or things that the chromebook just cant run

world.kano.me is trying to make an app for Chrome OS and Kano also uses kits but it makes its own.

A Chromebook is best for programming and it is not only a software. Don't be such rigid man.

I posted it a year ago so please pardon me, I am now more enlightened on the subject of computers and programming. Also, It's debatable if a Chromebook if best for programming. As this topic points out there is more software available for Windows and Mac then there is for Linux devices. Although, there are workarounds to this problem. In general, you could most certainly use a Chromebook to program most of the time.

Also, to update the situation (even though this topic is over a year old) you can now download the Scratch App from the google play store and use your micro:bit with Scratch that way.

Yeah, if you go on play store on chromebook you won't find Scratch Link. It only works on PC Windows. I'm not sure.
