Scratch Team members and moderators do not have “*” and “?” respectively on their user profile and other pages where appropriate.

How did you get the degree symbol? DjangoBB makes it a “?” automatically…

I'm using the “”option“ + ”k“” method on a Mac which turns it in to a “?”.

For future reference, a degree sign is Option+Shift+8 on a mac (Option+K is a RING ABOVE accent that sort of looks like a degree sign)
