100% support. It's been over 2 years now and this is getting ridiculous. As per title, I think that this would be beneficial as if someone cannot find a shop they need for something fo rtheir project, they post a post that gets swallowed into the abyss by bumped shops and don't often enough get help.

Why is it a bad thing? It's really simple and easy to read the terms and orderBut why would you want to do that when you could actually make a request in the requests forum? You literally just read thier terms, products, then fill out the ordering form.I probably would try it more, but I don't understand what shops are at all. And yes, I read the sticky. Then you should actually try the requests forum. Stuff gets done there.Honestly… no. Though I still support the suggestion.Have you ever done anything else in the requests forum? There is literally a shop for everything there, from cloud multiplayer engines to pfps. Total support. I once put something in the Requests forum once. Got no response. I feel like if this were added, the Requests forum would have more of a use.
Terms and ordering forms are a bad idea.

The terms are usually really long, the forms have a lot of unneeded questions, and overall it feels very machine-like and dehumanizing. It's easier to just make a new topic and just say what you want. Why is it a bad thing? It's really simple and easy to read the terms and order

Bump.
If I ever wanted to request something, I would do so in the traditional, intended way, and shops probably make that impossible.

Honestly, I disagree, the people who work in shops get employed in those shops because they're qualified, and when just making a topic for what you want, any random person can take the order. But why would you want to do that when you could actually make a request in the requests forum? You literally just read thier terms, products, then fill out the ordering form.I probably would try it more, but I don't understand what shops are at all. Terms, a bad Idea… tell that to the ToU
Would you rather go to the store to buy something or stand on the street waiting for someone to give it to you

“Hi, can I have this?”
“Sure, here you go!”
than
“Hi, can I have this?”
“Go to my shop and order it.”

Support, the ‘requests’ area isn't as request-oriented as it seems by the name.

Well, when you order something in a shop, it notifies all of the staff, that are following the thread, but when you make a new thread, it doesn't notify anyoneI understood exactly what they were saying, I'm saying I would rather a conversation go:They were saying the person would redirect you to their shopExactly. Imagine if the Suggestions forum worked like this. Well, when you order something in a shop, it notifies all of the staff, that are following the thread, but when you make a new thread, it doesn't notify anyone
Instead of creating topics for each suggestion, you know, like normal people, there were huge conglomerates of suggestions. You filled out a lengthy form and then the staff of the conglomerate create a post for that suggestion and discuss it for you.
Wouldn't it just be simpler to have an index of topics where each topic was a suggestion, and you could just click on it, and discuss it there?

This has nothing to do with the Suggestions Forums, they are 2 very different forums with different purposesImagine if the Suggestions forum worked like this. Hmm.. you're right. It's not like I was trying to create an analogy for the purposes of seeing why shops aren't a very good idea in my eyes, as indicated by the sentence “Imagine if the Suggestions forum worked like this.”, instead my infinite monkeys on typewriters happened to type something about the Suggestions forum on a topic about the Requests forum, silly me!This has nothing to do with the Suggestions Forums, they are 2 very different forums with different purposesImagine if the Suggestions forum worked like this. Oh, and one more thing, while the a lot of the supporters of this suggestion (including me) do not like, know about, and/or care about the Request forum, this isn't a suggestion to ban shops! They'll still exist in their little storm drain in a section inside of Requests, so shop owners should not worry about their shops getting screwed over.
