Add back the ability to seach for users and forums!
Here's what paddle2see said: support
Those features are on the list of things to add back. I believe it was part of our transition to some new architecture that was necessary to keep the site running.

So I guess it's coming back soon…

Support, this would make it a lot easier to find duplicates.

Good idea. I support this, it would be quite helpful with looking up duplicate topics and stuff. There is a workaround for now, you look this up on google How would the forum results be displayed? The explore page now gives each project or studio with its thumbnail, but forum topics don't have thumbnails. Maybe it could be something likeForum searchingcampfires

Support! This is a good suggestion!
I think that it's annoying that the forum search is broken.

This already exists. Use one of four search bars in Guide to Finding Duplicates. It's not a workaround; it already exists. What's even the point in adding a fifth search option? Anyone?

already exists. What's even the point in adding a fifth search option? Anyone? They are workarounds because you have to use some external website, whether it's Google or some website made just to try and replace the lack of a search engine. What's even the point in having that search bar up there for projects and studios when we could just use external methods? Anyone? This already exists. already exists. What's even the point in adding a fifth search option? Anyone? The search bars are not implemented directly into scratch, however, so they arn't as good as a search bar built by the ST probably would be, as they know how the website works. Great point. I often see new users make a duplicate, then when they get told that it is a dupe, they immediately come back with “Well how was I supposed to know that?” Sure, they should have read the stickies before posting but it still could be easier. Unless I know I've seen a similar topic somewhere, I don't look to make sure a topic isn't a dupe because it's not that easy. People are told to search for existing topics before suggesting, but the can't do that anymore (If this is a duplicate that is why).

i support, but i doubt this will get added
i bet people are going to say no support because there's stickies that use custom google searches for duplicates

No support. There are already stickies that use custom google searches to look for duplicates.
silly man makes a silly. Searching in Scratch would be much easier than having your search history be clogged with dupe findings, and many of the alternatives aren't very good for finding duplicates but rather specific keywords.

I don't want to open up the “guide to duplicates” post every time I want to looks for duplicates. No support. There are already stickies that use custom google searches to look for duplicates.

Anyways, I support. This will make it a lot easier for unofficial forum helpers in finding dupelicates.
