1) People would use it to mean nerd, even if it wasn't the intended meaning.
2) Why would they want to add a ‘glasses’ emoji? All of the emojis are emotions, not to depict an appearance. I would agree with you if the emojis were ‘boy’, ‘girl’, ‘baby’, ect. but they're not. Glasses isn't an emotion.

There are a buncha emoji requests out there, few of them make sense, but here's one of the other category: A nerd emoji.
When is it useful? Well, you can use it after you corrected someone when it's a bit unnecessary to tell that person that you're aware that that's the case. It's an emoji I would actually use sometimes. Of course, you would create one with :nerd:.
What does it look like? More or less like , but with green nerdy glasses. You can just google it to get more or less an idea. Col_Cat228 made a mockup:
AFAIK, the ST has control over the emojis.
No support. This could be offensive to some scratchers, as most of them are in the 3rd and 4th grade, where people are called “nerds” a lot. I, personally, am a nerd, and I'm proud, but I don't think it's a good idea.
Imagine this: someone makes a really cool, complex project. Then, someone comments, Hey, :nerd:! I'm sorry, but this isn't my favorite idea…

How? If you're saying that because some people don't have them, then I think that is going too far.
A lot of people wear glasses. Not nearly as many are missing teeth.
It's like saying that is stereotypical because not everybody has tongues, even thou the vast majority do.

IDK if i should support, or not. It's always nice to have more s, but on the other hand, I don't know how it would be used other than something to be mean
also I know that many people already brought this up… I do agree

If you don't support because of stereotypes, we should ban because many people in the world are unhappy

Saying that people who wear glasses are nerds is a pretty common stereotype. People are likely to use a glasses emoji as a nerd stereotype. People are not likely to use any of the other emojis as a stereotype.

Besides, your example isn't even a stereotype.

Oof sorry. Yeah, the nerd emoji that's automatically on computers doesn't work. It would be kinda… fun, I guess? Since there are a lot of emojis we can use but also a lot we can't, and this is one that might allow people to express themselves more.

Not everyone who wears glasses is a nerd. I wear glasses most of the time and I'm barely good at math. No support for current emoji.
Yeah, I could see why calling a glasses-wearing emoji “nerd” might be problematic. Especially knowing that many children are afraid to get glasses because they're afraid of being seen as a “nerd” (or bullied otherwise).

As a glasses wearer myself - I am a bit sensitive to the stereotype that wearing glasses is “nerdy” in some way.
