Instead of picking projects, wouldn't it be better to let The Scratch Community Decide?
First, a scratch team member must pick out 3 random projects, it doesn't matter if they're good or not!
Then, they would make a poll to let The Scratch Community decide which project is the best?

This idea came too my mind because, not everyone likes the featured projects
“This one's boring” “I don't like the dsign” “Check out myproject theres link: scratch.miit. edyu”
But they just don't want to say it out loud!

Here's an example of a poll:

Most of the time, the vote would be split evenly, meaning the majority of users would be unhappy as their vote didn't get picked.

But how about those whose project didn't get featured?
“Everyone has a chance” no they don't.

That has very little to do with my point.
Say the vote is 40% project A, 35% project B, and 25% Project C. Despite getting the minority vote, project A wins and 60% of the voters are unhappy. I'd assume that many votes would end up like this considering the amount of users on Scratch.

This will create more unhappiness as people's votes don't get chosen.

Support, but if it exists, keep the votes ANONYMOUS or else if you voted for project a the creator of project b will hate you forever.

What if all 3 projects are bad?
What if someone told others to vote for someone?
What if, like fdreerf said, some win by minority vote? Or in a worse case (33%, 33%, 34%)?
What if people don't bother to vote?
What if people manipulate the data by making a lot new users?
A quarter support. Though I have answers for my questions.
What if all 3 projects are bad? Report system, probably? Or a reset system if less than {some number, I recommend 100} users voted.
What if someone told others to vote for someone? Report them.
What if, like fdreerf said, some win by minority vote? Or in a worse case (33%, 33%, 34%)? Okay, I don't know about this.
What if people don't bother to vote? The reset system, as said above. Or if there isn't any to vote, the ST votes.
What if people manipulate the data by making a lot new users? IP checking, at most 5 votes allowed. And/or make only Scratchers can vote.

If there's any problems with the poll, they can also cancel that poll and just pick a random project!

What if all 3 projects are bad? Make a new poll. with new projects.

You've basically answered all the problems xD

That would mean 34% of people are unhappy. Better, but far from good.

You will eventually have one of your projects if you put enough effort into them or if you are creative enough. My first featured project was featured ~3 years after I first joined Scratch.

Put more effort into your projects then and work on improving your programming skills.

No offense, but how long did you spend each day working on that project? Because to me, that project seems like it couldn't have taken more than a few hours. There is a common phrase, “Work smarter, not harder”. If you work on improving your programming skills, you will be able to create much better projects in 6 days. If you treat programming as a continuous journey of self-improvement, your potential will greatly increase.

Also, 6 days might not be enough. Some of my projects have taken nearly a month to complete, and I'm currently working on a project that I started over a month ago.
