Remove Flash Detection
Maybe it could produce glitches. But I simply don't think that we should remove features just because they are not too relevant anymore. Oh, I forgot that those few characters will take up to 30 bytes which can cost something. We're wasting money!

Remove Flash Detection
But why? This is the Scratch forums, Scratch doesn't use Flash anymore, so there is no need for the Scratch forums to detect Flash. It can't be important in any case, because Scratch doesn't use Flash. I think that it could be important in some cases, so I would leave it like that, removing features is almost never a great idea. No support.

Maybe? We don't know, but how could it produce glitches? Maybe it could produce glitches.
It's not that it's “not too relevant anymore”, it's simply irrelevant now. But I simply don't think that we should remove features just because they are not too relevant anymore.
Of course it's not a high priority, but keeping outdated features around is the problem here, not that it is wasting server space. Oh, I forgot that those few characters will take up to 30 bytes which can cost something. We're wasting money!
I just think this suggestion is dead on arrival because the forums haven't been maintained for years, which means they are currently completely abandoned. Many glitches are known but not even those are fixed. I believe when (if) the Scratch forums are moved, or updated to a new system, this feature won't exist then, so not much to worry about. Even right now the Flash detector doesn't really bother anyone.

Remove Flash Detection
Well sorry, because Flash is going away in Flash is still a thing I like to have in my browser, because a lot of old games and homepages require it. December. Of this year.

I agree. Scratch doesn't run on flash, so it's just pointless. Support!
You could manually remove it though…

Remove Flash Detection
There are 20 days until every browser will permanently disable Flash. There is no need to detect versions of Flash anymore, especially become it seemed to be broken even when Flash was still around and always displayed “No Flash version detected.”

I like that idea, it would be way more useful than showing whether or not the user has an obsolete plugin that isn't required for Scratch to run. +1 Full Support!

I also like that replacement idea. HTML5 and JS are more important now that flash isn't required to run Scratch.I like that idea, it would be way more useful than showing whether or not the user has an obsolete plugin that isn't required for Scratch to run. +1 Full Support!

Support! Since Flash is now blocked on all major browsers, it will just always not detect it, so what's the point?
