It would be SUPER fun if you could set up a little area for you and the people you are following where you can post Scratch related stuff, your own projects, studios, ideas, stuff you liked on Scratch, etc. Then, you could like and comment the posts, just like on Facebook! Who supports this?

I like how it sounds but could you put more into detail how it would work for me since I've never used facebook

Let me elaborate.
There would be a button that says “Scratch Feed” where you could go see what other Scratchers are up to (and I don't think we need them to be part of your following pack.)!
You could comment, like, and more. Plus, you could put photos! So you could put a photo of your Scratch stuff.

And I have to say, we are focusing on the social media aspect rather than programming and learning, which is why scratch was made. you can discuss your projects and studios in the show and tell section
This can be a reason to not add this. Plus. the quoted post.

There's the what's happening on the main page of scratch, but it's just who your following, and I believe that should suffice. And photos…. I'm not to sure about. Let me elaborate.

I feel that this would be good besides the fact that people could share their faces and/or spam it with selfies of them and then scratch is no longer a coding website then it is social media

Your suggestion is technically already implemented

Oh, awesome safety idea!
When you post something, it won't appear until the Scratch team accepts it and puts it in. Same with comments, but not with likes, of course.

This looks cool. This would give scratchers a chance to show other scratchers an underrated project but there has to be like a 60 second time wait

this puts more pressure on the ST. Instead, maybe the ST could do one of these 2 things: Oh, awesome safety idea!
When you post something, it won't appear until the Scratch team accepts it and puts it in. Same with comments, but not with likes, of course.
1. Assign helpers “like forum helpers” to pass and/or reject.
2. Let scratchers work together to build an A.I. processing system that filters without issues
Edit: for #2, people would have to test it out

I think the option 1 is a LOT easier. Or, maybe, the ST can program it to filter out swearing, inappropriate pictures, mean words (so filter words like HATE), etc.this puts more pressure on the ST. Instead, maybe the ST could do one of these 2 things: Oh, awesome safety idea!
