Hello Scratchers,

It has recently come to my and other Scratchers attention that there has been an influx of people using the Show and Tell forum to test out or just post video links on the Scratch Forums, Do not post video links on the show and tell forum unless it is relevant to the project or studio you are posting about. The show and tell forum is for projects and studios ONLY.

If you would like to test out a link to a video on the Scratch forums, edit your signature and test it there. You can access your signature by going here and going to the bottom of the page where you will find a button labeled “Change your signature”.

Hate to say it, but the users likely won't listen to you because a popular Scratcher made a YouTube video that said it was allowed.

(It's pretty funny how he tries to make it in Announcements, but gets disappointed when he discovers he can't.)

Thanks - I guess it's worth a try. It is getting very annoying.

If Paddle thinks it's fine, I guess it'll do. Just don't be surprised if you get lots of angry rant messages, such as "(not included by user - please don't gossip) would never lie about this! You're lying!"

It does seem to have some effect, but few are reading the stickies. I've just found nine YouTube video tests.

I agree with you. I even had to make a topic asking why people are posting YouTube video tests in the QaS forum.

Thank You! Once when I questioned a user who did it, they said the video told them to post it here. This means the YouTubers are targeting the forums with spam . if those people use the main site, maybe those users can get banned for encouraging spam?

If you find the video and find out their username, you can report them for targeted raiding most likely.

Fair. Would do good rule to keep away stuff irrevelant or there to clog up the topic.

first it was satisfying but now it's just obnoxious to look at

Yeah, not as much in Show and Tell though, but some in TIMAC & TIRAP.

It was made over a year ago, so I wonder why it resurged anyway. The ST might be able to take it down.
