There should be like a Scratch Sr.
So there's Scratch Jr for little kids, and then there's Scratch. I think there should be like a version of Scratch for older kids. I think that we should keep the blocks that Scratch has, but just make it a more mature community, as older kids here are getting banned and their projects taken down for ketchup warnings and gore and whatnot. On Scratch Sr. there would be older kids on there so then they won't have to worry about keeping their projects all safe and bloodless. On Scratch Sr. blood would be allowed but only a little bit and there would still be no profanity. Or maybe a teeny tiny bit of profanity. This would be so then teenagers can express themselves better and not have to make it entirely kid friendly. Teenagers can pursue their interests and not have to worry about small children taking down their projects. As I am 15 and I find myself at risk of a mass report due to my love of Danganronpa, I think Scratch Sr. would be a place I would like to be on so I can express my love of Danganronpa without having to worry about little kids getting the wrong message. I think this is a very good idea and I think many teens and tweens will agree.

It looks like this suggestion falls under “a 13+ version of Scratch,” which has unfortunately been rejected by the Scratch Team.
7.2 A 13+ version of the Scratch website or age-restricted content
Scratch is designed for ages 8 to 16, but any content shared on the website must be appropriate for all ages. Dividing the community by making a separate, age-restricted website would not be helpful. Potential restrictions from entering the website (such as a warning, or requiring a parent to answer math equations) would not necessarily stop an underage child from entering the 13+ website.
This suggestion extends to age-restricting anything on Scratch, such as viewing specific projects. As a general rule, content shared on the Scratch website should be appropriate for all ages.
