Re-add the tag limit
Tags are a feature in Scratch. You can put them in your project descriptions to increase the chance of your projects being on the top of the search results. Example tag:
#thisisanexample
Back in Scratch 2.0, there was a limit on how many tags you can use. Although that got taken away in 3.0 and many Scratchers are taking advantage of this. I suggest that the Scratch Team should re-add the tag limit to prevent people from spamming tags, putting unnecessary/unrelated tags, and overusing tags. I think that the limit should maybe be a maximum of 5 tags per project, 3 was too small anyway.
Because without the tag limit you can do this:

I’m not kidding this all was included in just ONE project. Yes, all of these tags where crammed in one project. Yet 95% is just unrelated and spammed tags. Please add the tag limit back.
I just realized that it’s pretty obvious on which scratcher made that project.

Nor do I, so I am just going to say it is in the first picture, and the last letter has a z

Many projects stuff tags in all the major categories that don't have anything to do with the project, just so they get in more search results.
It's pretty annoying.

I thought that putting so many tags in your description was warnable, since you are manipulating the sites statistics, and that is against Scratch's TOS.

Yes, let me remind you that it is not okay to put unrelated tags on your project. Please use the Report button on any projects that use tags which are unrelated to the project.
However — I don't think using lots of related tags is against the rules.

I didn't make that project. I don't abuse tags like that but yes the user was violating the Terms of Use. I thought that putting so many tags in your description was warnable, since you are manipulating the sites statistics, and that is against Scratch's TOS.

Support, because it's annoying to see so many unrelated tags just to try to get their project in the search results. Also, I think the limit could either be 3 like in 2.0, or 5 to 10.

I didn't make that project. I don't abuse tags like that. But still, it was better with a tag limit, related or unrelated. Plus, I can't think of a way to use lots of related tags in a project. The project was titled something similar to “Yellow | A Platformer (Mobile Friendly)”. The tags could've just been this: Yes, let me remind you that it is not okay to put unrelated tags on your project. Please use the Report button on any projects that use tags which are unrelated to the project.
However — I don't think using lots of related tags is against the rules.
#Games #Platformer #Yellow #Yellow_A_Platformer #insertusername #Mobile #Friendly #Mobile_Friendly #Byinsertusername
Yes, only 9 tags. I'm not sure if these count as related but there is also:
#Mouse #Arrow #Keys #Arrow_Keys #Grass #Spikes #Cube #Arrow_Keys #Lava #Mobile_Devices #Game (without an s) #Color #Devices #Mobile_Compatible #Tablet #Phone #Play
25 tags in total is probably the highest amount of related tags you can get to with this project. I don't even see the need to put half of these tags in since they are very common so there is a lower chance of actually being at the top of search results.

I wasn't assuming that you (FrostyRAhAz) put unrelated tags on your projects. I was using the term “your” in a more general sense, “your” meaning “anyone.”I didn't make that project. I don't abuse tags like that. Yes, let me remind you that it is not okay to put unrelated tags on your project. Please use the Report button on any projects that use tags which are unrelated to the project.
However — I don't think using lots of related tags is against the rules.

One thing i can say is… We can't do that because tags got replaced with a hashtag system in Instructions and Notes

I agree, however, the most annoying thing is when someone puts all the trending tags on their project so it gets more views. Sometimes, I’m trying to look for good music to use on a project, so i go to the music section, to find that All of it is just games. Art, stories and music are the worst. Tutorials are pretty bad too.

Support, because this would stop people from spamming tags. But, how would this be implemented? The “#” hashtag sign can be used to express a lot of things, so there could be a lot of mixups.
