Privacy settings

Edited) There should be privacy settings, such as:
Can other people see my followers?
Can other people see who I’m following?
Can other people see my action history?
Can other people see my studios I’m curating?

This could help people that don’t want other people to see their stuff. I’d also like to mention this topic.

There can definitely be some things on this website that children aren’t prepared for. This is how it would work:

If the child is old enough to chat, you don’t have to set an parental settings pin.
Otherwise, set it and change settings according to what your child can take. The settings include:

Who can I chat with?
What pages can I access?
Am I allowed to follow anyone or be followed? (Privacy column)
Can other people see my favorite projects? (Privacy as well)

Of course, this can be unnecessary as this is a site for all ages. Just suggesting this to see if parents would

Pretty good, though it may need more than a pin though, (I know a LOT of websites that let you come up with a new pin) so add stuff like eg… favourite questions, email passwords @nd numbers and words pin

Well, ideally Scratch is a place where the entire website should be safe to chat with and use without any parental settings. Scratch is intended to be for all ages, after all.

That's not to say this is rejected, though. What is rejected, however, is parental controls that could be used to allow others to post things that are not for all ages. But if you are electing to keep the Scratch website and Community Guidelines the same, while simply adding parental controls, that is not rejected.

No support. Scratch is designed for ages 8 to 16, so the community is meant to be suitable for children aged 8+.

No support. This isn't YouTube where somethings aren't appropriate for all ages and undermoderated chat. If scratch makes these settings, it would be like roblox where when you are underage, you are banned from typing numbers. I understand the safety, but scratch is meant to be safe for all ages and the content is for everyone. So no support. You could really just disable commenting or not verify you'r Email Address if you think scratch isn't safe for 8 year olds. You could also download the offline editor.

Do you mean children as in under 13's? The majority of the site is under 16 years old, so that would literally limit over half of the community from, well, doing much including me lol
It was designed to be a friendly community for kids and teens. If a parent think a kid isn't mature enough to comment on an online site, simple, download the editor and let them view projects signed out.
