Why Can't gdpr0000001 Be Followed?

This project https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/projects/359919416/ talked about a user called gdpr0000001 who is unable to be followed. But why?
And, when viewing their profile, your icon, messages, and my stuff menus all disappear. What's going on here?

i don't know. The account says it was created 20 years ago, and the first public version of scratch was released in 2007, 13 years from 2020. The account is most likely a glitch.

It's not a test account. The GDPR is a set of European laws which grant the right for internet users to be erased, and I believe the gdpr accounts are users who exercised that right.

Actually, the GDPR accounts should be deleted, but due to any bug on the site, some remain visible. And since they should be deleted, they remain a bit buggy.

The only thing I know is that the Scratch Team created the account to see what a user's experience was like.

I think a Scratch Team member once said that @gdpr0000001 is a test account. Other @gdprXXXXXXX accounts are real.
