Scratch for nintendo switch

Scratch would be fun on Nintendo switch. You could bring it anywhere. It would just be the scratch desktop thing but on Nintendo switch thats only if you dont have internet conection. otherwise it would be normal scratch

1. Scratch is nonprofit. The money to buy it would go SOMEWHERE.
2. Even if they weren't, they have to pay the programmers and developers to create it. Would this make enough profit to support Scratch?
3. That's why it's accessible on a mobile device. I think more people would carry their phones around more often than a Nintendo Switch. So, they can still “bring it everywhere”.

It could be a free application on the Nintendo Switch.

Ok, but why would you want to use a gaming controller to make a scratch game?

Also, why would you spend a lot of time and effort making a game, but you can't share it with anyone besides your family?

And, Nintendo is a GAMING platform, not a LEARNING platform.

I agree. I've never heard of a programming language being supported on a gaming controller.

For two obvious reasons this is impossible: First of all, Scratch is a programming language and adding it to a gaming controller would be equal to accepting Java into a gaming controller. Second of all, Nintendo is already very strict about copyright stuff and has banned many games on different platforms and I doubt they'll be crazy enough to accept a platform into their property.

Are you sure that you know how many Scratch Team members there are? You'd have to pay an unfathomable amount of money per year in donations. They'd have to put a bunch of money into resources for the game, a bunch of money for developers, and even more.

I support this suggestion, since I think it could be pretty fun.

“it could be pretty fun” isn't very constructive.

Well, there are games and animations on Scratch, which you could play and watch.

A desktop is basically an eletronic that's suitable for using on a surface like a computer or laptop. The Nintendo Switch is NOT a computer or laptop, therefore it probably wouldn't even be very compatible.

Anyway, no support. Like others have stated, Scratch is non-profit AND the Nintendo Switch isn't fit for learning languages.

I don't think that would necessarily change anything. I've heard before that Scratch 3.0 doesn't work well on an Xbox or a 3DS. Which is understandable, of course, since those systems are not intended to be high-performing Internet browsers.

Personally I think the existing 3.0 offline editor would be a good way to use Scratch without an Internet connection. Perhaps that's just me, though…

I can already envision the pain of the cursor moving so slow across the editor when using the control-sticks.
Plus joy-con drift is a thing.

Scratch for nintendo switch

I think it would be quite possible,
the hard thing would be getting a platformer that responds to the Nintendo Switch,
and getting the company to agree… etc.
