on the scratch home page there should be a scratcher of the month award where “new” scratchers under the time period of 1 month get awarded by there progress and acheivments from there little bit of time on the scratch website. There are some scratchers that do some amazing work but never get noticed for it so why cant they not get that attention right now, if this possibly becomes official they will! (there may be multiple winners per month the maximum amount is five) the prize is what the scratch team thinks is reasonable. if you accept this this might be the look on some ones face!
the scratch team may add rules to this so people will not fight over the place as scratcher of the month (if any scratch team members look at this tell me what I can improve on to get this official on the scratch web.

WELL THATS WHAT HAPPENS WITH GETTING A PROJECT CURATED, FEATURED

I suppose featuring a user would be good/bad enough. The ST laid out strict criteria for featuring projects which is mostly why there isn't much fighting over getting featured, so I'd assume if they would do the same with users they would place very tight guidelines for selection, to discourage that unfriendly sort of competition.
