Remove Flash Detection
When you click the globe icon (
) while making a topic/post, it shows your OS, Browser, and Flash Version. Why? Because 2.0 (and late 1.4) ran on Adobe Flash. Scratch 3.0 runs on JavaScript. Adobe Flash will be phased out in 2020, rendering it useless. There is no use for it on the Scratch Forums, as even the 2.0 Offline Editor doesn't use Flash. Not to mention, it sometimes says “No Flash Version Detected”.
This suggestion will remove this from the globe icon.
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Firefox 68.0, Flash 32.0 (release 0)

Remove Flash Detection
Easy fix. Example:
My browser / operating system: IPad iOS 12.3, ChromeiOS 75.0.3770.103, No Flash version detected.
My browser / operating system: IPad iOS 12.3, ChromeiOS 75.0.3770.103
See what I did? I removed the “No Flash version detected”. Also flash will no longer be in service. It will still run, but bugs will not be fixed. Also, flash can cause glitches, so the “no flash version detected” thing is important.

Every major browser will remove support for Flash. Easy fix. Example:

I don't really see why “No Flash version detected” is useful anymore since Scratch no longer uses Flash. Plus, when 3.0 came out, it also said “No Flash version detected” even when I did have flash.

It's kind of ironic that the discussion forums is the last place that uses Flash on this website, huh?
Maybe we could get the Flash bit to be replaced with something about Javascript?

That's what happens when your browser requires you to turn Flash on manually. I don't really see why “No Flash version detected” is useful anymore since Scratch no longer uses Flash. Plus, when 3.0 came out, it also said “No Flash version detected” even when I did have flash.

Hey, once I picked “Allow” for Flash, the “No Flash version detected” part goes away!
Ask: My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 75.0.3770.142, No Flash version detected
Allow: My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 75.0.3770.142, Flash 32.0 (release 0)
I think that part is not going to be removed, since the forums are pretty much in their final phase.

The forums contain no Flash code on it - the server code is mostly in Python, while the frontend is your standard HTML/CSS/JS It's kind of ironic that the discussion forums is the last place that uses Flash on this website, huh?

Support, Scratch doesn't run on Flash anymore so that makes the Flash version part in the information that the globe button stores useless and pointless for Scratch.

Flash Player detection is no longer useful, because the transition from Scratch 2.0 to Scratch 3.0 went from Adobe Flash Player to HTML5. Which was necessary, because

before 2020.Adobe Flash will be shut down in 2020. The time has come to say goodbye to Flash, Adobe has finally admitted. In fact, Flash is already being disabled in many browsers by default, so it will probably be non-viable

It could reduce some space and also stop people from going all crazy like, “Oh my god! Flash has returned?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!”…
