Computer Viruses
Check your properties for the browser's desktop/start menu/task bar shortcut. Some viruses modify the shortcuts for your browser to open the malicious page even if you reset your homepage. I do work placement/experience at a computer shop and have had to deal with viruses like this a lot.Have you tried accessing the source files of the virus? Or can you possibly terminate the process in Task Manager? Guys, there is a virus called delta portal homes site. I have it. I doesn't do anything, as far as I can see, but it is always your homepage, even if you try to reset it. Very pesky. There are dangerous links on it.

The best virus ever would definitely be either the ArcticBomb virus, the Bumerang virus, or the Techno DOS virus.

Anyone ever use AV8? (Antivirus 8?)
Don't. It's malware. Very, VERY bad malware.

Mac Defender is another malware that pretends to be an antivirus program.

I like how people think Macs aren't susceptible to viruses because they can't get viruses designed for Windows.
I have written viruses in my free time, mostly helpful ones though. (patches to OS holes, network device that automatically threads downloads through Axel, etc)

I have not written *real* viruses, but I have dreamed up ways to make really bad ones. (Especially in Batch - fork bombs are sooo easy) I like how people think Macs aren't susceptible to viruses because they can't get viruses designed for Windows.

I have for some reason written a password thing in C# that doesn't let me access my computer unless I enter a password (there is a way to close it, but I can't remember)

Computer Viruses
I was planning on making a “virus” that would uninstall IE8 and install Chrome or Firefox on every computer in a network (specifically my school's).
I never got to it, and I don't even remotely know how I would do it.

My school gets Chromebooks, so they can monitor EVERYTHING. Fortunately, the computers rum on Wi-Fi and there is such thing as incognito mode!

I guess you'd just have to patch up the registry and have it spread through LAN/NAS and flash drives, and just plug a USB flash drive into one of the computers. Careful that it doesn't get out though.

Windows 8.
Uninstall it. It gave me a REAL virus.
I used it once and the next day I had flu…
on a more serious note, there are too many viruses to choose the worse.
The funniest was probably the “you are an idiot” virus - so many people thought it killed their PC when you could literally stop it in task manager xD

Oh, and NEVER USE MCAFEE!
My old laptop was second hand, and when we bought it, it had 10 viruses after using McAfee.
Plus McAfee has a bad history.
I like Avast and AVG :3

Hate to burst your bubble, but I'm pretty sure that was a javascript exploit, not a virus. It just killed the buttons Ctrl, Alt, Del, and F4. Maybe you were thinking of how it kept making pop-ups of itself.

getting even is never ever ever ever the solution. I wanted to make a virus to get even with this person in my class. He hacked my YouTube account. I then thought about making a virus that deletes files, then brings up an error that says “TROGDOR HAS BURNINATED YOUR COMPUTER.” He said that he'd sue me, though, and he doesn't have a computer. (He does have an iPad, though.)

He either guessed your password or found you logged in. You can't sue someone over a virus, since there's no agreement in the first place. However, I'm pretty sure viruses are illegal in the first place

And never attempt to attack back, it still causes drama.
