I have a feeling that this has happened to me at least once in my lifetime.

One time on my screen, the Scratch logo was replaced with Firey Speaker Box from BFDI

Not exactly software gore (technically it is) but there used to be a bus in my area that presumably had glitched/broken screens which resulted in it genuinely looking like something out of a bad creepypasta. I used to have a photo of it though I'm unsure if I still do and think it might reveal too much of my location.

I have a feeling that that was caused by some sort of malware, and not a glitch. A glitch doesn't randomly show a random cartoon character in your browser. In fact similar things have happened before with Scratchers and it was determined to be a virus. I suggest you run a virus scan.

I'm pretty sure it was a glitch with the cache, because at the time I had just been looking at the BFDI Wiki

Perhaps. I didn't think of that.

It maybe was, because why would there be a virus like that?

Sometimes launching Nuclear Throne on my computer opens up another thing called “rtwlan” or something like that. You can't do anything with it, you can't go into it or anything, and you can't close it, unless you restart the computer.

Managed to get a 2 GB file to say it would take 11 days to download. It took about 45 minutes in reality
