Edit Block Colors in Scratch 3

There was an old feature in Scratch 2.0 which allowed people to change the block colors. Unfortunately, this has been removed in Scratch 3. Please add back the edit block colors feature!

I never knew you could do this is 2.0! That's so cool! Too bad they took it out for 3.0. I'd really like to try it in the 3.0 editor because of the confusing new colors of the new blocks.

I know this is necropost, but my only request is custom block support. Back to purple!

Yeah but in my opinion editing block colors isn’t necessary.

Good point there. Also, I liked changing block colours just for fun so I could make all the blocks look hot pink.

I agree. Even though I'm not colorblind, customizable block colors can make Scratch more accessible and make it more fun to use.

No support.

The ST can just share this awesome system by NitroCipher to the community for changing colors of the blocks…

Yeah, and extensions are banned on Scratch.
See why we need new features? Because Scratch removed features and now we need replacements for them.

Browser extensions are not a removed feature nor are they banned on Scratch; only sharing them is.

Customizable block colours are not a necessary feature, so the ST has no obligation to implement it

Support. My eyes get tired of looking at some of the bright colors, and it would be great if you could set a default for all your projects made after setting the default. There used to be an edit thing in previous versions, but that only worked until you reloaded the page. You could have the block colors saved for the project so you could see the colorful mess anytime you looked inside.

Just integrate NitroCipher's system into Scratch after asking permission. It's that easy.

Just because extensions aren't allowed to be shared doesn't mean they can automatically be endorsed by the Scratch Team.

Even It Works On 2.0
