The ability to switch between 2.0 and 3.0

I personally don´t really love 3.0 but 2.0 was almost my online world. 3.0 is so different, and it can be hard to adjust. I know sound is different, and the editor is on a completely different side! A ´switch´ button that could control whether you are in 2.0 or 3.0 (maybe in Settings) would be amazing for me and many others

yeah, that would be cool, but they would have to adjust Scratch 2.0 for some of the new blocks so techinally it would be Scratch 2.1.(Also the editor window was always on the right until Scratch 2.0 came around and switched it to the left.) However this would be kinda dumb because by the time Scratch Team are finshed devolping the feature. The community will get used to Scratch 3.0. Back then people said Scratch 2.0 was bad and wished 1.4 could be back. But, people adjusted. So, the same could happen again.

As posted above, there probably won't be an option to change between 2.0 and 3.0 UI due to more features added in 3.0 causing editor crowding in the 2.0 UI, and since some features from 2.0 work very differently now in 3.0.

There may be an option to at least flip the stage to the other side of the screen, however.

Sorry - this would require that we maintain twice the amount of code for the user interface portions of Scratch. I don't think that is something we can afford, given the resources we have. It would also make Scratch more complicated (more options).
