Costume editor REALLY small
Hi,
Ever since the 3.0 update the costume & background editor has become really small compared to other users' editors.
Picture:
•Browser is chrome. I've tried it on MS Edge and even Incognito mode to see if that made a difference but to no avail.
•Monitor resolution is 1920*1080
•Can provide PC specs (if that makes a difference?)
•Tried on several accounts.
•Someone else on scratch's editor is worse and is even smaller than mine
Any help would be much appreciated
Also say if this is happening to you
Oli

Hi @JACsterandOlibob, thanks for sharing this info. The Scratch Team will look into this.
In the meantime, have you checked the zoom on your browser? That's the only way I was able to reproduce similar proportions to what I'm seeing in your screen grab.

Zoom in all three of the browsers I have tried this in are at 100% unfortunately and needs ~135% zoom to get it the correct size. Hi @JACsterandOlibob, thanks for sharing this info. The Scratch Team will look into this.

When I record a sound, It always sounds a bit glitchy and if it goes on for too long, It just gets rid of the part at the end.
There Is a few other bugs but for now, Scratch Team please fix these bugs. Thank you

In scratch 3.0, if you try to layer the sprites with a “When green flag clicked” and put a block like: Go to front, go back 1 layer and have another sprite with the same code but go back 2 layers the sprite that goes back 1 layer is on top sometimes, fix? (If that didn't make sense, I can explain further…)

This happens sometimes, just zoom out with the little zoom out button in the bottom right corner. I don't know why sometimes its default is zoomed in. Hi,

I have the same issue and screen resolution. i believe the art editor is set to a certain number of pixels as opposed to scaling with the screen resolution

Try using the zoom in / zoom out buttons below the editor. Hope that helps.

I have this bug too, maybe try resizing your browser? You can do this by holding on the Ctrl button and zooming in and out using your mouse!

Tried both and unfortunately neither work, it seems that the editor is a fixed pixel setup not scaleable like 2.0

I'm a bit confused by this issue as my screen (win10 chrome 1980x1080 resolution) seems to look the same but I don't consider the costume editing area to be small
When I compare it to the 2.0 offline editor - its pretty much the same size (maybe 5% smaller at most)
But to make it bigger, I can just zoom-in on the browser to 110% or 125% (as long as mouse isn't over the editing area - otherwise it just zooms the editing area itself)

I think I've got what you mean now
its not that your screen looks different from other users - its that it looks different from when you used 2.0
In Scratch 2.0 - if you use the +/- zoom buttons in the editing area - it expands the editing area AS WELL as zooming in
Whereas Scratch 3 doesn't do this - it keeps the editing area the same size
Scratch 2.0 screen shot at 200% zoom
