Moving your backpack to 3.0
Hi folks!
In early January 2019, Scratch 3.0 will launch and become fully integrated in the Scratch Online Community. When this happens you’ll also see an updated backpack tool. The updated backpack will resolve many of the bugs associated with the current backpack.
As part of this update, all items that are currently in your backpack will be removed. We wanted to give you a heads up so you can look through your backpack for things you want to keep after the launch of 3.0.
Not sure how to save items from your backpack? You can create a new project and pull the items, one by one, into the project. Save this project until after the launch of 3.0 when you can re-add them back to the backpack!
Here is a project that shows exactly how to do this: https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/projects/265112757/
Scratch On!

Dear Scratch Team,
Thanks for the information - It really helped.
Fortunately, I didn't need any of my backpack items anymore. So that's good for me.
Bye!
And for the ones who still don't know where to test the beta version of Scratch 3.0 here it is.

Dear Magestic_Holly,
Yes, I was also really afraid when I knew about the launch of 3.0
But then the Scratch Team confirmed that it won't happen.
If you haven't checked out the beta version, here it is.
Bye!

Well, yes, that is true, but I want to move on to Scratch 3.0.
For the ones who see this post and want the offline editor of Scratch 2.0, you can download it here.
I'm not going to use it though.
Bye!

The Scratch 2.0 Offline Editor is an app that you can download to use the 2.0 version of Scratch when we all have moved to 3.0 offline. This is especially for people who like Scratch 2.0 and want to stay. But then you can't share your projects, or comment, or do anything that is operated online since it is offline. But don't worry, everything stays online in 3.0!

Moving your backpack to 3.0
The website is going to be down all morning next week while they launch 3.0. Will we still be able to go to the scratch website during the downtime?
Yeah! Can't wait, right!

Moving your backpack to 3.0
Ceebee, I have a question: Are you going to remove this website, all our projects and backpack stuff? Or will be there two websites, one for Scratch 3.0 and one for Scratch 2?

if you have no projects and like playing others games, don't worry one bit (I'm that kind of scratcher).

I honestly don't care very much because all I had was some stuff I don't need and some music I can easily get back. Excited for 3.0! The beta looked great!
