About GitHub Desktop
GitHub Desktop is basically a more easy-to-use client of GitHub for your computer.

Steps:
#1: Create a account!
Create a account here.
#2: Download GitHub Desktop!
Download MAC OS X version: here.
Download Windows: here.
#3: Use it!
Using GitHub Desktop is just like using online GitHub. You can do all of the features, except editing the code. You can edit the code by
going to File > Add local repository… and going from there with a text editor like GitHub's own “Atom” text editor, Brackets, or Notepad++.
