*Speaking about Wordpress* But what you can't do is fully automate the system and have users vote to make information about shops accurate. Anyway, we're working on a real website.

As a web developer who uses Wordpress a lot, I can confirm that isn't true. WP is PHP based, and fully customizable (with FTP access). It also has thousands of plugins, some of which can probably do the very things you're wanting to do.

Anyway, we're working on a real website.

I'm offended by this.

I'm not really, just joking around since you implied a Wordpress site wasn't a real website.

Because some people won’t want to do a different website.

which one?

>letting a very very small amount of people access the shop directory on scratch which slows down service and generally decreases quality

>fully automating it and having hundreds of shops be categorized in to the best and quickest one without human error

The 2nd one.
We can hold a poll on which one would work the best, I guarantee the 2nd option would win.

Yep. It will cause too many problems than it solves! We can't sync them well either.

sonicfan12p - This is a legitimate reason, I speak from experience.

I've been on here a long time, and seen several shop directories come and go. While the topic owner was active, it was almost always a pleasant experience browsing through the lists, which were organized well, and I could always find what I wanted to find. The only downside was that the topic owner eventually moved on, but a new one has always come along to replace them.
The only exception is right now, as the current directory is a bit barren. I know you want to automate it, but until that's actually ready, a Scratch forums version needs to exist. Shops are everywhere, and the special characters in the titles are out of control. People want a convenient place to find these shops, so why not let Poppy do it?

We are keeping the Scratch Thread, but we will close it after we get the automated shop up.

This isn’t a shop, it is a directory of shops

How come I haven't received a response. Nobody, I mean, nobody is adding shops. There are only TWO shops listed. I feel the older Shop Directories would be more useful than this one(not to be rude).
For what it matters, I'd prefer a Scratch Forum over a website. This is so much simpler. You don't have to worry about inappropriate content, spam, and fakes. You can easily figure what is what. Plus, if a shop closes, when will the site realize this?

@Poppybunny should be adding the shops into the directory. I can't control his/her posts.
