Is this a joke? No!!!

I'm neutral on this, as I don't see any real purpose of using this emoji, but at the same time, it's a real human emotion that we possibly go through everyday.

Mad emojis are fine if they aren't used in an inappropriate or bad way. Besides you could just report a posted if they misuse them.
What Happens If The Mad Emoji Gets Removed?
This would just cause conflict. It would be mostly on the Suggestions forum, filled with topics saying, “Get the mad emoji back! You don't understand!” or “Keep the update! Don't listen to those other people!”
See what I mean?

So everything you say is a joke. That's not constructive. Literally read my signature
What Happens If The Mad Emoji Gets Removed?I can see how that's a problem, so I guess I don't find interest in this suggestion.

Exactly. Does that mean we need to remove an emoticon just because some people use it improperly? I'm sure it can be used in cases like “I'm feeling mad today.”, non-threatening, non-spammy, used correctly! I'm neutral on this, as I don't see any real purpose of using this emoji, but at the same time, it's a real human emotion that we possibly go through everyday.
Everything has been misused. There's a report button for that function.

Not sure why anyone would need to express their anger on the forums (in a way in accordance with the Community Guidelines), and even if they did, they could just use >:( or something similar instead of having a bright small picture doing it for them

Well, true. Most (all?) emojis are unnecessary. Not the project linked, the post. The post is demonstrating a use for the mad emoji, though to me it would mean the same thing without the mad emoji

Again, all of these statements would be fine, if not better without the emoticon. What about this:I hate this bug!
I can't believe! My project is gone!
I always press the wrong key!!

The difference with the mad emoji is the vast majority of its usage is inappropriate. Exactly. Does that mean we need to remove an emoticon just because some people use it improperly? I'm sure it can be used in cases like “I'm feeling mad today.”, non-threatening, non-spammy, used correctly!

Every post would be fine without any emoticons. People can still use the rest of the emoticons in threatening ways such as Support. 99.9% of posts that use theemoticon in a way that isn't insulting would be fine without the emoticon. The last 0.1% are just posts talking about the
emoticon.
It's just not constructive, has too much potential to be used inappropriately and sure, we can report the ones that are bad, but if we remove the cause, we remove the symptom.
Folow Meee! The message is still threatening and insulting without any emoticons making all emoticons unnecessary. There is no use removing the mad emoticon when the all can suffer the same problems. Besides if you do remove the mad emoticon then a ton of posts would have this  in them, leaving people confused on why they are typing it.OR else I'll be sad,
FOREVER!
Besides only people who are cool follow me.

emoticons all can have good uses.

On the other hand, as I mentioned before, “” doesn't have many good uses.

I can't believe what that villain did.It feel so satisfying when the heroes finally took them down.
Man, your project Rage Quit Platformer is so hard. I rage quited multiple times!Even then you can still type “My project got featured!” without the big smile emoticon while getting the same effect. All emoticons can be misused and used properly, just because one seems to have little use it is still as useful as the rest of them because you can still use pictures or convey your message without any of them. You truly succeed in putting the rage in this rage quit platformer you made.

“Dangit, I lost.

Because of the emoji you think I'm actually exaggerating my feelings, well guess what? It's not how you illustrate it, it's how you read it. Otherwise, this would be the best example of exaggeration:
“DANGIT, I LOST!

See the difference?
It could also be used in a non-threatening way. Don't ask me to prove it. Most of you have seen it.

No support.
Yes, I'm unoriginal.
A lot of the argument here for removing it seems to be that people use it in ways which are not constructive, or in spam; but really, all emojis could be used in that way.
“That's sad

”
“

”
“scratch is so cool

i luv scratch”
All of the above examples show emojis being used in ways which are not constructive. And yes, that happens A LOT (check the Announcements forum). You can always use emojis in ways which are not constructive, and if you were to see someone doing that, there's a fantastic little thing called a report button.
Just because lots of people use it incorrectly doesn't mean it should be removed; instead, they should learn that they're not using it in a way that's constructive. You can also use it in a lot of better situations, like:
“I don't like when the character turned out to be evil!
Instead, they should've stayed good!”
“A bug started appearing a lot in Scratch.
I feel like the bug needs to be fixed. I've looked through a lot of examples, and here's how you can fix it!
”
“At first, I was really mad
about this change, but eventually, I got used to this being changed and I'm fine with it now.
”
All the above don't NEED the emoji, but it does convey more emotion. You don't really need the emoji in ANY of them, regardless of the type of emoji, whether it be a smile, a tongue-out face, rolling eyes, etc.
