Support as long as one of the four other tabs to the left is also relocated under the “More” section, because having five separate tabs on the header along with the Scratch logo, search bar, and account information would result in a header that's too long and doesn't match up with the page underneath.

This would actually be great IMO, so I'll support this, although:

Before the update there were five tabs. This can be seen on the Scratch Wiki, as it hasn't been updated yet. The five tabs were
Create, Explore, Discuss, About, Help

We might as well have the entire footer available in the dropdown on the header. We could also use a hamburger menu icon and a sidebar instead

I think having the entire footer was a good idea. Make it all smaller, have “Create”, “Explore”, and “Tips”, all as different options. Then, the drop-downs could be everything on the footer, minus the link to the Tips page because that's already on the header.

The entire footer? How would that work?

It's a dropdown! Some websites have full-width dropdowns with a ton of links. It won't hurt anyone since the footer links'll only appear when the dropdown is visible

I also suggested earlier that we could use a toggleable sidebar (like on this page) instead because the dropdown would have too many links and it won't be very phone-friendly

Also we could stuff the language selector in there as well so non-English-speaking users don't have to scroll to the bottom

The entire footer is a bad idea. 4-6 links in more won't hurt anything but 25? Please no. Less people will read everything if there are 25 links in it so they could miss important items such as the wiki and FAQ. Also when was the last time you clicked the for educators or Scratch jr. buttons? Instead of trying to cram the entire footer in the more drop down I feel that it would be better if users could customize what the more drop down had in account settings instead of having 25 links.

Adding a more would be useful. I would love to access the wiki easier but some others would not be useful in more. Remember there are still links at the bottom of every page.

That's true; maybe the links could be resized based on how often they're clicked relative to the other links? Though that might cause the Discussion Forums link to be very small compared to the About Scratch link (based on what is included in the navbar)

Basically, I'm suggesting this:

We replace “Tips” with Help (or something with a similar name) and have a drop-down menu linking the Tips page, the forums, and the Scratch Wiki. Thoughts?

Did they reject putting “discuss” back into the navigation bar in any form or shape, or did they reject putting it back to how it was?

This is a great idea! After all, all of those things are helpful to users both new and old, would solve the problem of some users never finding the wiki (and forums I guess), and it doesn't really require a large page of its own like it did previously.

Support.
