I did a search, but did not find any similar topics, so I am making this one.

Right now, this is the message that everyone will see as a confirmation before reporting a user's profile:

Does the text or icon on this profile break the community guidelines? If so, click “report profile”, and we'll check it out!

If the account has been used to make comments or projects that are mean or inappropriate, please click cancel. Then click report on the project or comments that were mean or inappropriate. Thanks!

So basically, the report profile button is currently only for reporting icons or inappropriate stuff in the “What I am Working on” section and the “About me Section”. But there may be more that the user is doing that may not just apply to profile pictures or the text on the profile.

My suggestion is this: There should be a selection of reasons for reporting a user, such as this (Credit to LiTheFayGoblin for the ► mark):

Please select a reason for reporting this user. If your report is about inappropriate comments or projects, please click cancel and click report on the inappropriate projects or comments.

► Impersonalization

Type the username being impersonated [ ]

► Inappropriate Profile Picture
►Inappropriate About Me section / What I am Working on Section
►Alternate account around a ban
Type the username of the account that was banned [ ]

Well, If there is a place to type a reason, then I don't really see a need to have the other options. Like in 1.4. But I still like the idea of adding back the option to tell why you are reporting the user.

I still prefer the old system where you can type in a custom reason, but this would probably also work.

We're already planning on adding options to the user report, a lot of which you already mentioned above.

We're not adding “other” though. The profile is just for the profile. With the old system, we have seen waaaaay too many people use the profile report page to report users for projects or comments without ever flagging the project or comment itself, and with this new system we don't want to encourage use of the profile report system for that purpose. Chances are that “other” can be reported through other means.
