Spam is where you DO NOT put friendly or relevant comments/projects/posts.

You may think that spam is only something like this:

But spam has many other definitions.

1. Advertisement spam:

If you see any of these types of spam used, just report it!

Don't be ashamed if you're new and you advertised your projects! I used to do it a lot!!!

This should be stickied!

However, there are still a couple types of spam:

1. Duplicate topics. Duplicate topics are unneeded. According to the Scratch wiki, spam is something unneeded, so duplicate topics is also a type of spam.

2. Block spamming: Block spamming is when someone uses scratchblocks to talk, and not help others with scripting.

3. Spam projects. These are blank projects containing gibberish or nothing at all.

Oh, and a link to a website irrelevant to the topic is called Commercial Spam, not website spam.

You might want to add that to your list.

I have a question about the spam studio and this convo.

I know that this studio may be helpful, but isn't the scratch team already taking care of this spam stuff?
Why do we need a studio when we have the scratch team?

In the future, please use the report inappropriate stuff by clicking “report” beside whatever you think is inappropriate. That sends a link right to the moderators.

Now, about the comment…. it does look like spam to me, since it is advertising a project. If the project being advertised does not relate to the topic, yes that would be counted as spam.

These types of comments should be reported for spam and for the fact that it is threatening others.

Definitely, its threatening also and there is way more threatening things though like something like if you dont post you will die.

But dont believe these!

I seen like 100 of them and i never died.
