ExtensionBlock Discussions and Collaborations (where?)
Hi,
I've been jotting down some proposals to enhance the current extension-block mechanism.
Over in this thread: http://scratch.mit.edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/topic/18117
Is there however a better location to address these?
Is there ongoing work by the scratch team on the extension mechanism?
Are there any planned upcoming releases this could land in?
Is there an (open) code-base we can fork, comment, collaborate to?
Helas I'm not into flash programming (yet) but would be willing to help out in any way
FWIW, my current 3 suggestions provide suggestions to
1/ properly encode spaces in the /poll response
2/ define “event-blocks” in the extension-block-spec and still use the current /poll mechanism to provide “event-like” behavior in scratch
3/ allow more extension on the same port by introducing an extensionBaseURI (in stead of only a port)
with “event-blocks” I mean blocks like:

I don't believe there is
Is there ongoing work by the scratch team on the extension mechanism?
I don't think so, unless there's an unexpected update in the HTML5 player
Are there any planned upcoming releases this could land in?
Nope

Already checked this myself. You may can find something in the HTML5 Git. However, since you're talking about the event blocks, since the team is focusing on the player only, I doubt you'll find anything useful there!
Sorry if my post was useless X3
