A Way to Reduce Rejected Suggestions! [Filter title and direct to TOLORS]

Often there are a lot of rejected suggestions that new posts are being made about because the post creator didn't read the sticky.

Suggestion: Add a list of the rejected suggestions to a filter, and when you're typing the title in a new post, if what the user is typing is similar to the title of a rejected suggestion, have a popup saying “Is (name of suggestion) what you are suggesting? If so, this suggestion is rejected, see here for more details” so there will be fewer threads about suggestions that are already rejected.

The popup will not prevent the user from making the topic (if the filter is wrong nothing will happen). It's just a reminder just in case it is a rejected suggestion.

Support, although it is not really a major issue.

Challenging*

And yes it would be hard to add, because ‘Make a R13 Scratch’ and ‘Make a restricted version’ are different enough.

I don't think it would be unmanageable for the ST though.

Then there would be the problem of having a suggestion with a title similar to a rejected suggestion, and not being able to make the topic because of that.

A loophole with this would be if you didn't give a descriptive title, and just wrote “suggestion” as some people do.

It doesn't stop you from making the topic, it is only a reminder so if the filter picks up a non rejected suggestion it won't do anything.

Yes, I agree with a pop-up/notification, but not complete prevention.

But getting the filter to reliably identify rejected suggestions from non-rejected suggestions could be a problem.

I think that this is a good idea, just the coding would be a big problem. Maybe it would look for keywords with close enough spelling so that it would detect it even with spelling mistakes.

It wouldn't be a problem if the filter incorrectly identified a non-rejected suggestion as a rejected suggestion. It would just be a popup and nothing would happen if the user ignored it.

A filter list might work, but it could be more effective if it showed a list of suggestions with similar titles – that way it might also cut down on duplicates. Each title would be the same color as it is in the Suggestions index. Closed topics would be grey, so you'd be able to pretty quickly see if a suggestion you're making is rejected.

(You could expand this idea and apply it to all forums. It would be useful in Help with Scripts and Questions about Scratch since it might find you the answer quickly; and in other forums (such as Making and Creating/Reading and Playing, and Advanced Topics) to avoid accidental duplicates. You might also consider including the number of replies and views on the topic, as well. If there's two threads with the exact same purpose, you'd pick the thread with more posts, right?)

HipPo masco…

I think maybe when posting on the suggestions, if they use a word like ‘Private messaging’ or ‘Team projects’ or ‘Invite all’ it comes up with a pop up saying ‘please note that your suggestion may be rejected. If you don’t understand, please read the Official list of rejected suggestions.

Mockup:

Ight, dertermenter here, I have been allowed to make a quick FAQ.

What will this apply to?
Just the OP.

What happens if it isn't rejected but uses a keyword?
Notice how the mockup said may. If the user is 100% sure, if you click ‘submit’ again, it will go through. I still think this pop-up may catch an eye.
