They are chosen whenever the other curators feel there is a need.

The short answer is no. The Scratch Design Studio team cannot feature your projects. The long answer is that we can provide an opportunity for your project to reach the front page. The fourth row on the home page is known as the ‘Scratch Design Studio’ row, which randomly selects 20 projects from the current Scratch Design Studio to be front-paged, in the row upon page refresh.

In addition to this, it is possible for a project created for the SDS to be featured. But we can't feature it. It would have to go through the normal featuring process.

I don’t understand… you mean on the main page? I’m already popular so I probably won’t need to worry about this one…

Projects are selected randomly from the SDS to be put in this row on the front page.

If you have very little followers can you still become a curator? And do you have advice how to get better?

No, basically it is saying, having your project put in the SDS is not the same as being featured.

1) Yep - although some curators have quite a few followers, others have hardly any. They don't really matter 2) - Help with what? Just want to make sure I can help you the best

I believe you are referring to the active part the most . We and the ST do pick the most active people at the time, and trust me quite a few people are still very active, and more active than you may except. But me for example, was pretty active at the time, but have gotten less active.
