(This is a 2021 rewrite of the original OP because like, holy potatoes 2016 me was aggressive)
What if you worked on a project with a friend and wanted to split the credit equally between the two of you? Currently the only way to credit other users is through the Notes and Credits, which is nice, but not ideal in situations where multiple people put similar amounts of work into the project.
So, what if you could invite other people to own your project? All of the creators' usernames would appear in the “by” section.
Potential limitations to prevent spam:

Potential limitations to prevent spam:
- Could only have one invite open per person at a time
- The invited people would not receive a message to co-own the project, and they would have to manually go to the project to accept the request.

No support, collab accounts are frowned upon by the Scratch Team.

It's not collab accounts, it's the ability to add more credit under the title. No support, collab accounts are frowned upon by the Scratch Team.

Still no support, it could be used for spam.
For example, someone could put “griffpatch” and cheat top loved.

I don't know if I should say support or no support.
Pros -
This would be useful in giving more credit.
Cons -
- It would kind of be similar to the notes and credits.
- New scratchers can be convinced it is a collab account (when it really isn't)

If someone asked you to join, maybe you could get a message about it. There could maybe be an option so users can't invite a user to join. Maybe there could be a row on profiles with collab projects.

Thanks! Maybe the message could look like this:Good idea! If someone asked you to join, maybe you could get a message about it. There could maybe be an option so users can't invite a user to join. Maybe there could be a row on profiles with collab projects.
chocolatecandiecayne has invited you to join the collab project Dance. Click here to accept.
For the thing that says click here to accept, maybe it could be a link to the project and there could be something saying that you have joined the project.

How is an extra name under a title ‘spam’? Still no support, it could be used for spam.
Two separate links really doesn't speak collab accounts… - New scratchers can be convinced it is a collab account (when it really isn't)
Also, please don't shame New Scratchers since they haven't been on the site as long as the rest of us. Most New Scratchers understand things just as well as we do

They didn't get the full picture. They meant that someone could use Griffpatch's name to cheat top-loved.
2.
Yeah, both of those make since to me

Support. I think it would be extremely helpful for collab projects. (Not accounts. Don't fire the Atomic Kumquat Launcher at me.)
2. Both users have to accept, and I don't think griffpatch would accept random invites.

That's not what this thread is suggesting… No support, collab accounts are frowned upon by the Scratch Team.

In my professional opinion, I would fire the atomic kumquats rather than the launcher Don't fire the Atomic Kumquat Launcher at me.

Guys, this has been solved on the 20th of December, 2016. You are two days late!
Up to how many people can do this? I used to help run a collab that had more than four users to a group, so how can we do this? Also, can you add invalid users by simply adding the @ symbol?

Don't understand what you're talking about being solved. Look at how many solved problems on it's page XD Guys, this has been solved on the 20th of December, 2016. You are two days late!

(And I bet it'll work like adding users to studios)

I meant the misunderstanding. You solved it two days ago, so there isn't really need to correct the person if you already clarified.Don't understand what you're talking about being solved. You bet? While I do think this is a good idea, I really don't know if “betting on a feature” is going to work.
