There is a whole list of things that the ST promised for 2.0 that have been cut.

Do you remember a promise that 2 or more scratchers would be able to collaborate together on a project?
How about the ability to get info from web services?
Also, they promised a “Save as .SWF” feature.
The ability to make multi-player games.

How about the ability to get info from web services? – that is complicated and they are working on other stuff more (like fixing those little glitches fast)

You can not make a serious multi-player game with 10 cloud numeric variables and without cloud lists.

The ONLY thing we can do at this point is make “voting” projects. How many “What is your favorite color?” type projects can we stand? Oh, look! Blue wins again!

We can't even make a leader board since we can't store usernames along with the scores.

We need cloud LISTS!

Great, let's start protesting and form a mob to get the Scratch Team's attention!

I know that a lot of you guys are waiting for cloud lists and stuff, but the fact of the matter is that there are a lot more important bugs that have to be fixed and preparations to be made for the move for the Scratch 2.0 release - as well as more basic features that may still be lacking from Scratch 1.4 that have to be implemented. You can look at a whole list of them here - and then there are even more for the paint editor and website. I've seen your games BoltBait, and I know you and many others have great ideas for projects that require the use of cloud lists. But for now it will probably have to wait for a bit after release. The wait will definitely pay off.
