Hey there
I installed offline scratch beta, and found out that slovenian translations are very OLD. I am helping with translations, and translations for editor and blocks are all 100% finished - but somehow not used by offline installer.
would be nice to include latest translations.
cheers and keep up the great work,
Jaka,
Slovenia,

Oh yeah! That was useful. Please leave us feedback and information about any issues here.
Feedback:
Almost perfect! Do you think that when zoomed into a costume in the editor, it could automatically scroll when the cursors near the edge, just like in scratch 1.4?
Thanks.

I've run into this several times installing Scratch 2.0 on the lab computers here at school. Make sure Adobe Air is updated first – when you start Scratch, you will get a popup if you need to update Air, but you can't do that while Scratch is running. Exit Scratch and update Air, then start Scratch again and run the update. That solved the problem for me most of the time; repeated attenpts to update worked most of the other times. Out of 30 computers, I only have 1 right now that isn't updated.

The installer doesn't seem to be working for in my schools at the moment but downloading Air and installing that followed by Scratch2 alone does work.

I made a project on an old version, updated Adobe AIR and updated Scratch. I got an error so i uninstalled and reinstalled it. I still got the error so there's:
A) No way (that I can find) to get Scratch 2.0 offline
B) For me to open that project
Windows 8.1
Intel core i3

Yes, this happened to me too, here is the message I saw:
“The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.”
I have Windows 8.1
Intel Core i5

thanks for working hard on the new offline editor 2.0!
due to a crashing adobe air installation. I can't install and try the new version. i use open suse linux 12.2. (the installationprocess says: rpmbuild missing though the rpmbuilder is installed and present in the system)
my question is. why do you use the air platform and depend on adobe in the first place? is there no platform that is more reliable than this air thing. something more open source?

You will probably have to reinstall Adobe AIR, but put Scratch onto the flash drive.
If my advice doesn't work, I have no idea, I have never tried this…

You need to install Air on the computer you are using - can't make that bit portable (AFAIK)
You could copy the Scratch 2 files from one computer you've installed it on onto a portable drive (I've done this on a network drive so it should work on a protable drive) and run the Scratch file from there.
But since you can't get Adobe Air onto the drive - there wouldn't be much point

So you're saying it isn't possible to transport Scratch 2.0 to a computer with no internet? You need to install Air on the computer you are using - can't make that bit portable (AFAIK)

I've tried installing it several times and get the same message. I've installed Adobe Air although it isn't listed in Programs but it comes up as there if I try to reinstall. Would be grateful for some advice
Thanks
