Undertale is an indie roleplaying game developed by Toby Fox, who was previously known for his Earthbound Halloween Hack, as well as his musical works in the webcomic Homestuck (but unlike Undertale, neither the hack or the webcomic are suitable for children, so be warned). The game tells the story of a human child who has fallen in the Underground, a land inhabited by monsters and separated from the normal world by a magic barrier.
Gameplay consists of a turn-based strategy system, with bullet hell aspects (inspired respectively by the Mother/Earthbound series and Touhou). You are given the option to either FIGHT or SPARE the monsters that you encounter. What will you choose? Here is the trailer for the game.


Undertale currently costs US$9.99, and can be bought on Steam, as well as DRM-free on Humble Bundle. Compatible with both Windows and Mac. The soundtrack is also available on Steam, and it can be bought together with the game as a bundle. Here are the system requirements.




Here are some guidelines to be considered when posting in this topic (slightly inspired by Lightningstep36):

1. Ignore or report off-topic discussion and spamming. Make sure your post is constructive to the discussion (and not just a reaction image, for example).
   
2. Announcing that you are leaving the topic is unnecessary and counts as spamming.
