Giving permission for people to edit a post.
PLEASE READ WHOLE POST
My suggestion is a feature where you can invite others to edit your posts.
Next to the report, edit, and quote buttons there would be a “Invite others to edit” button. You would type a username. Then they could edit your post.

When you invited someone to edit it and they did edit it, the part of the post with your profile picture, your username etc. would look like this:

-It would not show “Scratcher”, how many posts you have, etc.
-It would show to original person that made the post's profile picture.
-When you clicked on “{username} and {number} others”, it would show everyone that had edited the post.
-You can only invite people to edit your posts if you are a Scratcher and you can only be invited to edit someone's post if you are a Scratcher.
-The “Last edited by {username} at {time}” would show up.
Any ideas? Leave a post below!

Wouldn't people just be able to ask them to change the post, I'm not entirely sure what you mean so please explain a bit further but until then, no support
EDIT: Just realised you were talking about the forums posts not commenting, I guess semi-support then since it could be useful for shops

Support because it gets frustrating when a topic creator's off Scratch and you desperately need to edit their post
Especially for stickies and stuff like that.
But I don't think this will be too high on the priority list.

no support, what if someone makes a troll account then invites it to edit his post then changes the post to something completely off topic then have the troll account to blame?
also, why do you want this?
PLEASE DON'T REPLY TELLING ME TO READ THE OP

(username)block because it can be used for abuse. Let's remove the forums because it can be used for trolling. Let's remove projects because they can be used for trolling. In fact, let's shut down Scratch because it can be used for trolling!!!!1!1!1!1!1!!!!1!11!11111!
Please make sure your arguments actually make sense. And yes, please read the OP.
sorry if I sound mean

No Support, this is the same thing as removing your comments on other people's stuff. This can also cause trolling.
(And besides this, I read the entire post. Do NOT tell me to read the whole thing, because that is really disrespectful.)

No support. Why would you want others to edit your posts anyways? You can have a user who adds what they want, and then replace the post with the version with the edits.

You can invite people to edit the description and picture and title of studios…
