When you go to a project you know how there is the favorite and like button? Well add a dislike button now! I know that some people don't want people to dislike their projects so it would be optional if you wanted people to be able to dislike it. It would be fair so if some people wanted to see if other scratchers opinions if they didn't like it but if other scratchers don't want to be offended by dislikes it would be fair!

This belongs in Suggestions. Also, this is rejected by the stickies in the suggestions forums.

1) Many scratchers are children. Some don't know better than to pick on others. Allowing a dislike button could cause cyberbullying on any project that allows one. Cyberbullying and spam is something Scratch tries hard to prevent, and allowing a dislike button goes against that.
2) This post is in the wrong category. I highly suggest you move it somewhere else. This forum is for shops and offering your skills to others, not petitioning for new things to be in Scratch.
3) This has probably been suggested many times, and I doubt it's ever worked. Many Scratchers will be against this, and I personally am too, which is most likely why it hasn't been implemented yet.
4) This has already been denied in the suggestions forum in the stickies. So, there's not going to be a dislike button anytime soon.

But some people like me want to know other scratchers opinions on their projects you won't be able to see who diliked your project

Instead of adding a dislike button, which could cause bullying and hurt feelings, why not ask other Scratchers to leave comments on your projects with their opinions?

No support, because simple projects made by New Scratchers may get some dislikes, and then this happens:

I think the reason the Scratch team will least likely add a dislike button is because it might hurt someone's feelings. Scratch is an online site mainly for children (even though there are people older than 10 who come on here *cough*me*cough*). Some Scratchers might feel like they made an outstanding project, and when one person dislikes it might not hurt them at first. But, multiple people might dislike the project and maybe soon there would be more dislikes than loves or favorites. That person might feel very hurt and would possibly make them want to leave. Adding a dislike button could also lead to cyber bullying, which Scratch wants to prevent from happening.
The Scratch team wants young and old Scratchers to actually feel welcome and accepted, no matter how amazing a project is compared to another project. Sure on other sites dislike buttons might make people want to change what they're doing, add a bit more, or try to improve their craft. But on a website like Scratch that wouldn't fit in or appeal to everyone. And, like previously stated, it could hurt someone's feelings.
And leaving a comment about it wouldn't help, either. Leaving a negative comment might hurt someone's feelings or might make them delete a project that could actually be pretty well done. And making a suggestion on certain types of projects might have the same effect on younger Scratchers. It all comes down to what types of people are on Scratch, what ages users might be, what the Scratch team's goals are, and who this website appeals to.
