hi I just joined scratch. any ideas about what kind of projects I should make? this rocks!

I would suggest starting with something simple. I started with a project that makes the scratch cat change colors. Also, I would start most of my new projects with the command

when green flag clicked

Changing colors probably isn't good with Flash 11.8+
