They cause no harm to the site. So why dis them?
Explain why banning it would help? What if my actual project name is intended to be “Untitled” or I'm looking for a name?

Semi-support, they're quite useless but a perfect placeholder.

.. It would help, because then there would be no more annoying ‘Untitled’ projects, they'd be easier to find, etc..? And if you're looking for a name, just name it “Name TBA” or something like that They cause no harm to the site. So why dis them?

I don't think the suggestion is to ban them, I think it's mainly to limit them. Perhaps one or both of Sheep_maker's suggestions could be implemented, but without forcing users to name their project- users would still have the freedom to keep the name “Untitled” for sharing. They cause no harm to the site. So why dis them?

Sounds good! People should name shared projects so you know what they are about

i think they should just say “untitled (is da name)”
if they want it 2 be called untitled and if they do not kindly tell them on comments or if they block comments on the specific project then on the profile if blocked comments on this or it doesn't work then u may report.

No support because of the above. It's seriously annoying how much “Untitled” Projects there are. You could search up Untitled, and connect it with a random number (Ex: Untitled-23) and still get 5000-10000 results in the project's tab. I think that before you share a project, if it's untitled, you have to name it. Please tell me if you support, and if you don't, please explain why.
Edit: Oh. My. Gosh. If you search “Untitled-3” you get 78,000 results.
Edit 2: So, basically it would work like one of these two: (Thanks Sheep_maker!)Here's two solutions:
1) Ask for the project name before creating a project
2) Before sharing, if the project name is “Untitled” or “Untitled-#” then a pop-up appears saying “Name your project before sharing:” with a cancel button (to prevent accidentally sharing the project), a skip button (see below), and a done button.
Both solutions allow people to name their projects Untitled if they really want to.
I think Scratch is fine the way it is…If people left their project unnamed, they probably did it on purpose, and I don't think a pop-up will help the problem, unless it forcing them to name it, which would be annoying. Nice idea, tho

I would like the second version of this idea to be implemented. Giving everything names makes it easier to find things, but being meta might justify naming something “untitled”.

I don't see why we should be limiting what titles people can use. Support for a reminder when people try to save an untitled project, but I don't think it should be forced to have a custom title.

Additionally, if the user decides to not name their project name, I think the project name should be left blank or something other than “Untitled” (i.e. the project ID)

No. Projects without names irritate me more than “Untitled” ones because whenever one of those pops up in my “What's Happening” box I always get interested in whatever the project might be, but I have to go to their profile to find the project Additionally, if the user decides to not name their project name, I think the project name should be left blank or something other than “Untitled” (i.e. the project ID)

Support for the original idea, though.

Here's my idea:
Before you share a project, such as when you click the Share button, the page lets you know if the project title has not been changed. If needed, it will shift focus to the project titlebox so that you can rename it. There will be a tooltip message saying to give the project a meaningful name so that people know what it is. Then you reclick Share and the project is shared as normal.

Support, I like the solution where it prompts you to give a name before sharing. All the Untitled-# projects can be very annoying!
