Let users disable turbo mode!

No support. You should be designing your games so that players can't cheat with turbo mode anyway.

No support. If you don't want to use turbo mode, just don't use it.

It lets you cheat and it's not cool. Turbo mode is POINTLESS.
No it isn't. Some 3D projects need it to run at a pace that is actually tolerable. They'd be way too slow without it. Though nowadays it's better practice to use custom blocks set to run without screen refresh, since it runs faster and is less of a hassle to users. Turbo mode should stay.
I think abh206 meant that users could disable the option to use turbo mode if they wanted to.

Well they certainly didn't word it very well then.

Eh, support, but only if Turbo is enabled by default and it's an option.

(note - he said LET USERS DISABLE, not REMOVE. I support letting people disable turbo on their projects, as it's done already anyways )

Shift is detected but Scratch can't tell it apart from ctrl, alt, etc

Good topic to discuss. I think this should be an option for scratchers.

beacause in a game if you make money by just waiting and it goes up automaticly then if you turn on turbo mode then you can get sooo much money fast

This is why you design your game without this flaw.
wait (1) secs // Incredible block which fixes this problem.

I think removing the shift-click feature and replacing it with
toggle turbo mode::sensing
would be better so that projects have the choice of disabling turbo mode to avoid cheating or automatically enabling turbo mode for those projects that need it. And if the project wanted the user to be able to toggle it themselves, they could make a button with
when this sprite clicked
toggle turbo mode::sensing

Edit: Actually, is there a way to force the screen to refresh? That would have the same effect as not being in turbo mode.
Yes, I think so at least.
Maybe:
define no cheats
hide
show

I think
stamp
forces a screen refresh.

Just tested the
wait (0) secs
block, and that didn't detect turbo mode when I put it in
when green flag clicked
reset timer
repeat (10)
next costume
wait (0) secs
end
if <(timer) < [0.1]>
say [Turbo mode.]
