Good picks! I can not describe what LiFaytheGoblin do, even though I know what does she do P110 was really active on the Scratch Transition Team, ErnieParke answered everyone's questions. (Incluiding mine…)

It'll starts in 3 months? Wow, you spoiled my birthday present surprise! >:D

We've asked LiFaytheGoblin, P110, and ErnieParke to serve as the first Scratch Mentors, starting in early 2014.

Wait, I was wrong… Can't you make it December?

Edit: Third page? O.o

I hope not! We are, till now only 3 Mentors and that wouldn't be enough to get the work with the SDS done!

Wait?! We're meant to help with SDS, whoops didn't read that, but I don't think so, I think Scratchers will carry on with SDS

I doubt this as Lightnin has not talked to me or the other curators (to my knowledge) about this.

Scratch Mentors are regular people who give the ST feedback on topics like SDS's, help around the website, and who help Scratchers as well (a bit like a mentor). Currently, though, we mostly give feedback.

Thanks for the congratulations! I appreciate it a lot!

I'll also stop by your project; I wonder what's going wrong.

Edit: I looked through your project's comments, and apparently the problem's already fixed. Nice job on that!

Coming,

ErnieParke

It's 2014 now! Let the Mentoration begin! … Wait, the program hasn't started yet? D: Come on, guys…

Congrats! I think you made great choices (though, like HM, I didn't know P110 that well.) If I could choose anyone to be the first Mentors, that's who I would choose. I can't wait to see how this works out! One question, though- how are you going to manage until the release date without mods or Mentors?
We still will have a few original moderators, and there are also paid moderators. On the plus side, Mentors (don't ask me why) have the power to delete forum posts, so we can do a bit of moderation ourselves.

Anyway, thank you for the kindly comment! Thanks. ;)

Gratitude,

ErnieParke
Like Harakou? Everyone else seems to have retired. How do you know so much about the Mentors though, did the ST give you a thingy to agree to?

Mentors have to be specifically chosen and invited by the Scratch Team; you can't just say “Oh, can I be a Mentor” and expect to be chosen.

I believe Harakou is still here, so yes. I also remember seeing a few others, like Scimonster. I can't bring any other names to mind though.

As for your second question, no, we didn't have to sign a thingy, contract, will or much of anything. We were asked, we agreed, and we're here! We also have access to a Mentor's Forum, kind of like with the Moderator's Forum, and that's where I've gotten all the information.

Harakou and Sparks remained on as mods. I retired as a mod, but i'm still here.
In fact, it seems that the ST is moving more to an adult-moderator system, with kid Mentors. Harakou and Sparks are both over 18, i think.
