No, you can do this In case the picture didn't work you can download projects to your computer (file in project editor).
Firstly, that URL doesn't link to an image, it links to an entire page. And what project are you taking about? How do you expect me to download something if I don't know where to donwload it?

Look, I know you are very determined to get this implemented, but I'm telling you right now that it will not be. Firstly, so what if there are lots of useless, inactive accounts that are taking up space? It's not really hurting the server. The server has 32 TB on it. 32 TB. (I think. I could be wrong…) Do you know how much that is? To put that in perspective, one TB is equal to 1000 GB. That's certainly a lot. And the ST has 32 of those at their disposal. The ST isn't just storing the entire Scratch server on some stupid 8 GB memory stick. They have plenty of space to burn. And when they do run out of space (which will not happen for a while), they can just buy more servers like they've done in the past.

Thirdly, what about all of the profiles that have epic projects? When griffpatch or some other popular user finally decides to leave Scratch, but decides to leave his account up, what will happen to his profile and his awesome projects? Will they be deleted? I know he will get the e-mail warning him to do something, but what if he decides to ignore it? Or it goes in his spam folder and he never sees it? Or maybe he switched e-mails after he quit Scratch and dumped the old e-mail address. What if he's really busy and his inbox has too many e-mails, and he never sees it? Or, like I said before, what if he just doesn't care enough to log back on and do something? Or he decides, “I'll do it later,” and forgets? You think he's gonna care enough for the rest of his life to log in every 2-3 years? At some point, he will probably stop caring. And even if he does log in every 3 years and do something to keep his account from being deleted. What about after he dies? Unless heaven has wi-fi, he won't be able to check in. All of his awesome projects, his hard work, the memories he left on Scratch- all of that will be gone. Out the door. Bye-bye. No trace of it. I know that when I leave Scratch, I don't want to have to come back every 3 years to make sure that my profile stays up. I want others to still be able to view my projects, the stuff I've contributed to Scratch- even after I'm long gone.

Deleting inactive accounts

Thanks for the suggestion - but I don't see us going this route at this time. We don't need the space badly enough to risk losing projects that Scratchers spent a lot of time making.

Keep thinking of ways to make Scratch better though
