Ultimate Graphing Calculator Suggestions.

Well, I wanted to make a fast graphing calculator to use for myself, instead of my very slow TI-84, so I have returned to a completely overhauled website. Very impressive, and I am excited to be back working with Scratch. It has been about 3 years since I started here, and about a year and a half since my last project I want to say.

My goal is to make a completely functional graphing calculator, complete with root finders, intercept features, as well as a normal scientific calculator built in.

I am aware parts of this have been done together, in fact I was on a team who set out to do this a while back, but left before I saw the result.

This is a list of features that will be included in version one. It is built in Scratch 2.0, so I am unaware if I can upload it on the website yet.

Features:

- Up to 5 lines
- Support for quadratic, linear, and absolute value functions.
- Quadratic trinomial root finder, and factorer.
- Intercept features for linear system
-Linear System solver. (x, y, no z)
- Easy to use input system for plugging values into formulas.
- Inequality graphing.
- Tutorials
- Example problems so you can find what yours is.

Later version will be able to calculate geometric shapes, along with trigonometric ratios. I also plan on including exponential functions, polynomial functions, and square root functions.

The way graphing works in my system is there is a set ratio per step, to actual coordinate. This will allow for sizing of the grid for larger solutions, as well as zooming in for more defined answers.

If there is anything you would like to see, let me know. The project is underway to be ready for a release within the next few months. I do need help with the menus, for I am terrible with art, and wish for it to look appealing.

Thank you in advance.

I could help here and there with the art, if no one else offers.
Just drop me a comment on my profile or something.

So, hmm… it seems you're already way ahead of me: you've got trigonometry, polynomials and quadratic functions…
…Thinking back on my time spent in Algebra 1, I remember having a lot of trouble with calculating standard deviations on the TI's. Will you include a tutorial/special function to help with that, or is it too complicated?
