I need help downloading the offline editor. I have a 64 bit Ubuntu system; does it not permit it?

It's possible, but it's a pain, unfortunately. Here's the tutorial I followed to get it working on my 64 bit ubuntu system:
http://linuxg.net/how-to-install-adobe-2-6-air-on-ubuntu-13-04-raring-ringtail-and-linux-mint-15-olivia/

Once Air is installed, you should be able to install the offline Scratch editor by clicking the link on the Scratch install page.
You… Use ubuntu???? YESSSS! I LOVE UBUNTU!

What if we still use the old version of Scratch? Like, we never used the new one and we joined when the last version was available? Will it still give you a warning?

…and what is the world wide interwebs?

Why, it's the information super-highway, of course!
Not sure if that made it any clearer, but thanks

I'm not sure if this is related, but I have some friends that are on dA and scratch, and they and I were mysteriously ‘banned’(The ip addresses) about two hours ago…. And it's still just over half an hour until the website should be shutting down. Was it just a fluke for a few people, or did this happen with everyone, and does it have anything to do with this update? If anyone knows, please tell me.

I saw it was supposed to be down for an hour, and I'm like, “What?! It's 9:15 and its already back up?”

I look again and see EDT…. Facepalm.

It is - but only distantly, and rather sadly…. It was a tricky combination of factors that led to it, but yes, it resulted in a lot of people seeing the IP ban page incorrectly. We've fixed the issue, and it shouldn't happen again - please tell your friends we apologize for the mistake!

I can't recall the exact numbers, but basically the buildings connection is now like 2 gazilobits, and will be upgraded to 10. Apologies to the technical and detail oriented for not recalling the precise numbers! The good part about this is that we almost saturated the buildings whole connection when 2.0 came out (which would've been bad - no more internets for all our nice friends and colleagues!) Now that it's increasing by quite a lot, that'd be extremely very hard to do.
When you say 2 gazilobits, is that to do with how fast information can be transferred? Or is that the number of users who can connect at a time? Or is it more room to store projects and things (memory)?

Ah, okay, thanks. I was worried for a second when it first appeared.
