How about this:
(sound [ v] secs::sound)
No, I would like to make it so that you can start music and stop it at a certain point, and use variables to transition between two songs at the same point in the song, but not a fixed point… Well, I don't know, I just think the ideas at the start were better than that.
I don't understand how the reporter helps, though.
Which one do you mean?
I mean the
(sound [ v]::sound)
It would just nice to have around.
But what would it report? Would it just be the number of seconds?
Hmm… You have a good point. I guess now I can't think of a reason to need that.
Well, there WOULD be a way to use it for minutes and seconds if it reported “01:23” (for instance).

You could parse that string to figure out the individual numbers of minutes and seconds.
Uh, I guess.
But maybe it would be boring!

Perhaps
(sound [ v] minutes::sound)
and
(sound [ v] seconds::sound)
would be more useful than simply
(sound [ v] time::sound)
Boring script? Is that what you mean? Uh… I don't usually get bored coding.
No, I mean, coding to parse the text.

Some people might find it boring…

You can work around the instrument channels issue by having two separate sprites, each with the different channels. Since sprites have their own volume levels, you can have one instrument channel/sprite muted whilst the other isn't. Just make sure to play both channels at EXACTLY the same time (broadcast maybe?).

As for stopping a specific sound, support.
Actually, on another thread, people are claiming that sprites do not have their own individual volume levels… And, since my computer has been broken FOREVER (What's taking so long, Geek Squad!?), I have no choice but to believe them because I cannot test this theory myself.
they actually do (maybe it was because i was using 1.3.1, but i still think its like that)q

Anyway, I think we just need, for the first block,
stop sound [sound v]::sound
With that it could be workarounded.

I'm pretty sure it could, but do you mean, like, MORPHING into another sound? That might be hard to add. Or do you mean fading?

And, yes, I read the OP.
